It all started in 2021, when the second lockdown was declared.  The journey of our Founder, Kimaya – from Software Engineer & Trainer to the passionate creator of Home decor products.

She has around 15 years of experience in the Software field in development as well as in training. She is also a writer and blogger(writes at https://kimayakolhe.com).

Whenever at home, decorating the home with various creative and artistic things is the first thing which comes to her mind.

Her passion led her to start  Kimaya Home Decor, which began at home before expanding its reach.

She started to design some very unique ideas like Chaurang vastra(Designer cloth for choki), Oti vastra(Godbharai Potli), Gudhi vastra, traditional torans(Bandhanwar) and also table runner and cushion covers in Bhartiya style . A huge positive response from people for various products boosted her confidence.

Apart from social media, Kimaya presented her creations in various exhibitions in her city. The best part was HunarHaat, Dehradun and HunarHaat Surat. Through these two bigger exhibitions, she got an idea that her products are loved by people outside of Maharashtra too.

In Sep 2022, a new chapter started in the journey, where Kimaya Home Decor was registered on Amazon. And the products started getting demand from various states in Bharat.

Now, apart from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana also are the states where our products are loved by their people.

With a tiny team of women artisans, Kimaya kept launching new range of products with creative experimentation with fabrics, colors, utility and designs. Her love for art and creativity is never ending and that’s the core thing which motivates us to bring beautiful products to our customers.
